Hello and Welcome to Motions and Emotions _Food Diary - one stop blog for everyday recipes.
I am Amrita, a medical writer by profession and food blogger by passion. I love to experiment with food. My passion of writing and cooking has motivated me to create an accessible diary (Blog: Motions and Emotions) where I share my thoughts and culinary skills. Generally, I share easy and tasty recipes which can be tried by any one starting from novice to experienced, bachelor to married persons.
In this blog, I also share my thoughts about life, day-to-day incidents, some childhood memories, traveling experiences, product reviews and many more. Hence, my blog is named as Motions and Emotions.
As time passes by (Motion or velocity), it fades the old memories and brings new ray of hopes (Emotions) in your life. And among all these you have to keep on moving, matching the rhythm of the life. So cook healthy and eat well to fuel your system. Hope you all will like and enjoy this diary.
How did I start the blog?
Growing up in a small town of Eastern India (we proudly call it as West Bengal), I was very much focused on my studies during childhood and always wanted to try different things in life. My parents gave me wings and I have been to various cities and states all over India (including Kolkata, Chennai, Goa) for my studies and work before settling down to Bangalore post-marriage.
I always stood next to my mother and interestingly, observed how she is cooking a storm in the kitchen. Me and my sister always helped her but never involved in active cooking. Little I did cooking during hostel days as I had a busy college schedule and studies. When I was in Goa, I literally craved for home cooked food and started doing minimal cooking.
Post-marriage active cooking started and my cooking skill improvement graph is upward since then. One fine day, during my postpartum period (2012) I just created this accessible diary. Since my baby became more active and my blog-baby became inactive for few months and slowly, I started drafting more recipes.
