Watermelon mint virgin mojito is a refreshing non-alcoholic summer drink prepared using watermelon juice, mint, lime juice, ice, and soda water.

Typically, classic mojito is made using white rum, sugar, lime juice, soda water, and mint. However, virgin mojito does not contain alcohol which makes this mocktail recipe hits among everyone.

Mojito is made with a variety of seasonal fruits including watermelon, strawberry, mango, and many more. Addition of fruit to the traditional mojito drink makes it flavorful and refreshing. This watermelon mint virgin mojito is a perfect mocktail for your weekend party.

Watermelon Mint Virgin Mojito is a popular drink because it is

  • Refreshing

Soda: Another key ingredient of Virgin Mojito is soda water. You can use club soda or sparkling water.

Mint Leaves: I love the freshness of mint leaves in the mojito. It makes the drink cool and refreshing.

Ice cubes: In restaurant, mojito is normally served with crushed ice. You can either use ice cubes or crushed ice. Choice is yours.

How to make Watermelon Mint Virgin Mojito

At first, peel the watermelon and remove the seeds. After that, cut the watermelon into small cubes. Normally, I prefer to chill the watermelon cubes for an hour before preparing the drink. However, this step is optional. If you are running out of time you can go ahead and prepare the mocktail without cooling the watermelon.

Watermelon cubes in a bowl along with mint sprigs

In a pitcher, take few mint leaves and muddle them using a wooden muddler. After that add watermelon chunks and sugar in the pitcher and muddle once more. Take superfine sugar or castor sugar which dissolves easily. You can also dissolve the sugar by adding little water separately and later use the syrup directly in the pitcher along with watermelon cubes.

The best to beat the summer heat! My boys not just absolutely loved drinking this watermelon mojito but also enjoyed making it. I didn't use mint when I made it last time as I didn't have any but my garden mints are coming up and I will be making this again.
